This knife is a custom project I had requested from Togashi san. His quenching process has created a knife that is not only incredibly hard, but also incredibly durable with amazing alloy banding throughout.

The knife was polished on NSK Oboro stones (200-6k) in order to maintain perfect geometry, it was also essential as the steel is so hard and durable that only diamond would properly cut into the steel of the blade.

The blade displays an incredible mirror polish, while simultaneously displayed great contrast ie alloy banding, hamon, and ji/ha

The blade has good height, great taper, and is incredibly well thinned, while maintaining a perfectly finished edge to ensure strength and longevity.

The handle is equally elegant with masur birch matching the alloy banding pattern, juma, and brass. However, the handle is equally strong and durable like Togashi’s blade as the masur birch is stabilized while the juma and brass remain non-reactive displaying its own incredibly durability.

The box was signed and stamped by Togashi san himself and includes a singed and stamped paper inside of the box.
